How Does it Work?

Step 3: You'll be paired with a nutrition coach from our gym who has been screened, trained and certified to teach you the ins and outs of meal prepping, weighing, tracking and more. Your coach understands that every physical body is different. They listen, adjust and help you learn how to make sense of your own anatomy and relationship with food. Because no two bodies are the same.

I started with Crossfit Awaken at the end of May and I can't even tell you how much better I feel. Mentally and physically.  I started this journey to look better to lose weight that I had put on. When I started with Crossfit Awaken was the heaviest I have ever been. 192lbs. Damn. I have always been active and a gym rat. But with a change in career and schedule and learning how to balance it all I packed on the weight.  
 
I have lost a total of 17 lbs since starting with Crossfit and with your help in nutrition.  I am very proud of myself. 
 
I took a picture of myself when I first started and just the other day. Wow what a difference.  And I took a picture of this shirt that I havent been able to wear because it was too small and I put it on yesterday. And what do you know it fits again.

Meet Your Coach

 

 

My name is Danielle and I am passionate about health and nutrition, CrossFit addict, and love spending time with my friends and family. I grew up surrounded by the mountains of Colorado but now live in beautiful Southern California where I help my husband run our CrossFit affiliate. I also have a second passion- which is doing hair. I dabbled in all kinds of sports growing up, gym-going and lots of outdoor activities until I finally found CrossFit. The sport challenged me to focus on what my body can do instead of simply what it looked like and I quickly became obsessed with learning how to give it what it needs to thrive while working towards a balance that keeps nutrition fun and sustainable long-term. I am so passionate about helping other people find some-thing that they love and can work for their body and individual goals.


Some fun facts about me:

•  My husband and I both love to compete in CrossFit


•  I have an amazing 6 year old son, Devin


•  We have 1 dog, 1 cat, and 4 frogs


•  I was born in Germany


•  I love to do crafts- like make jewelry, scrapbook and lots of DIY stuff around the house


•  Maui is one of my favorite places to be- my grandma used to have a condo there and we would go every summer.


•  I love being active- skiing, snowboarding, paddle boarding, hiking, swimming- you name it!

I know we are going to do amazing things together and learn alot!
